I agree with history being important, but I don't think it should rule over you getting to travel to a different country. I don't have to learn the history of Mexico if I want to go there, so why should they have to learn ours? To get actual citizenship, sure. But for a green card or visa? Idk if they need to take a history test now or not for those, but either way they shouldn't. And by basics of history for citizenship, I mean BASICS. I think of all the small hands, and wonder who cannot.
