Last time I was on, like a hundred yrs ago, I don't remember there being a status option. Just journals. So I don't know what the difference is...
But this is important to me so I'm going to post this both here and it's already posted as a status (I thought maybe the journals had been renamed) Anyway, read on, please, wonderful readers
It's been a while, I know. Very regretful. But I've been really busy also.
I'm working on becoming a videographer, screenwriter, and actress.
I'm currently working on producing and directing a film my friend Tristan and I wrote together.
Here's some background info on and a campaign I've started to help fund the film:
I'm greatly influenced by George Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm and I like to watch a lot Dystopian movies. I've always wondered how worlds like that could come into place. As I've gotten older, I've realized more and more that dystopian fiction is much less fiction than I thought and that there are clear patterns in history of how dystopian civilizations... can come to be. Animal Farm was a great influence in my thought process towards examining those kinds of patterns. And this past year I read Divergent. In the back of the book, Veronica Roth discusses her influences in writing the story. What struck me most was that when she set out to write Divergent, she started with an idea of her utopia. As she wrote on, she realized that what she had created was a dystopia. She then wonders if one person's utopia is another's dystopia.
So comes my film. This film comes from those ideas. Where does a dystopia start? What if it comes from an idea for helping others?
There are a lot of expenses and I don't have a budget to work with, so I created this T-shirt campaign on Teespring. All of the actors are hardworkers and I'd like to be able to pay them for their time.
If you'd like to be a part of this great campaign, please purchase a T-shirt (I designed)
